
Fast, simple, no special equipment necessary and no baking ... yay π... at this time of year π² this is a handy recipe!
1 cup Dates and/or Sultanas or other dried fruit
2 tsps Chai tea leaves with spice
1/2 cup Boiling water
2 tsps Chia seeds
1 cup LSA mix (or just grind your own linseeds)
Pour 1/2 cup boiling water over tea leaves and steep 10 min to make an extra-strong cup of black chai tea.
Roughly chop dried fruit with a knife and put it in a small bowl. Pour strained chai tea over to soak for another 10 min.Β
Stir in 2 tsp of chia seeds and then 1 cup of LSA mix and pulse with electric chopper or chop softened fruit with a knife, then a fork .
Hand roll into 12 balls. Then coat generously with your choice of chopped nuts, coconut, cocoa powder or nibs.
Refrigerate to keep firm. An electric wizzer will give a finer and firmer texture.
If you just do it by hand it is chunkier ... but there is less washing up π
